The sky has that special, perfect shade of late afternoon, almost spring deep blue that you get in Paris in January. It’s been almost nine years since Leon—curly-haired and cherubic at 16—began his modeling career, opening the Sacai spring/summer 2015 show. The following season he seemed to be everywhere, with a special quality that he exudes, standing out from the maelstrom of new faces that appear on the catwalks every six months. He walked the shows of JW Anderson, Margaret Howell, Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Jil Sander, Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Raf Simons, easily fitting into different ideas of fashion: elevated, amorphous, underground, graceful, classy.
