In Australia, a local resident found 34 grinda that had beached themselves on the island of Tasmania in the southeast of the country. This is reported by News.com.au.
The animals were discovered by 34-year-old tourist guide Chris Theobald on Wednesday, November 29. He was on a training boat trip with colleague Rob Pennycott when he spotted grinde, also called black dolphins, in shallow water. Earlier, Pennicott’s son told him he had seen the same animal in the same area near Bryans Beach.
“My son Noah sent me a photo and reported it to the Tasmanian Coastal Service because the first dolphin was swimming in shallow water and posing a danger to yachts,” the man said.
